FAQ

What’s the deadline for signing up?

23rd July 2014. Do not miss this deadline, or your application will not be considered!

 

How do I sign up for the camp?

Simply click on the red “JOIN US” button on the banner above, and fill in your details. All fields must be completed for your application to be considered.

You will receive an sms confirmation from us upon successful submission of your application. Unfortunately, due to limited availability, not everyone will be a successful participant. Availability for all 5 days of camp will definitely increase your chances!

 

How will I know if I’m participating in the camp?

If you received a call from your respective Group Leader, CONGRATULATIONS! You are a successful participant of Hall 1 Freshmen Orientation Camp 2014! If you did not receive any call, you can still enjoy parts of our camp! Join us on our Camp Opening and Closing ceremonies to find out the activities Hall 1 has to offer. Talk to any friendly senior when you are collecting your hall keys for more information.

 

What do I need to bring for camp?

Your senior, upon calling you to inform you of your participation, will also send you an email with further instructions and a packing list or refer to the packing list here(insert link). We strongly recommend you pack according the list for compulsory items.

Also remember to download, print and complete a hardcopy of the registration form and indemnity form and submit them on your first day of camp. Both forms can be found under the Important Info tab.

If you are under 21 years of age at point of application, your parents endorse the indemnity form, and it is to be submitted on the first day of camp as well. Remember to bring the camp fee in cash and lastly, remember to bring an enthusiastic and open mindset!

 

Any further details I need to know?

Our camp start and end dates are listed under the Important Info tab. The camp will be held in school, so you will be staying in your own Hall room for the duration of the camp. We recommend you move into Hall a few days early to settle down and clean up the room.

 

Are there any other ways to register for the camp?

Sorry, no. NTU is streamlining all FOC applications, and they have to be done online.

 

Can I opt out of certain days during the camp?

 We strongly discourage any freshmen from missing any day of our camp unless absolutely necessary. Our schedule is very packed, and missing any day adversely affects the overall experience we painstakingly planned for you. Thus, availability for all 5 days of camp gives you a better chance of becoming a successful participant.
